Sweden 1967-1974: Volvo 140 Series likely best seller
In the absence of official data I will continue to speculate on the evolution of the Swedish car market. Please shout if you have any relevant information that could help confirm these estimations!
In all likeliness, the Volvo 140 Series should take the relay from the Volvo Amazon and lead Swedish car sales from 1967 to 1974. 1,251, 374 units of the model were produced over 7 years, a very high number and a record for Volvo at that time.
At the same time Saab’s star model was the 99, produced at 588,643 units between 1968 and 1984.
