Greece 2001: Opel Astra takes the lead ahead of Accent & Punto

The Greek car market is down 5% in 2001 at 280,179 registrations. Losing very little ground (-2%), the Opel Astra takes the lead of Greek car sales with 13,334 units and 4.8% share, just above ex-leader Hyundai Accent at 13,031 sales and 4.7%. The Fiat Punto stays 3rd but improves its market share to 4.2% at 11,703 sales.

The Peugeot 206 gains two spots in 4th with 9,736 sales (3.5%), followed by the Hyundai Atos, Citroen Saxo and Opel Corsa (at an impressive +150%), all with 3.4% share.
