Turkey 2009: Hyundai Accent surprise leader, Fluence starts

After many years of Renault domination, the Hyundai Accent Era, perhaps boosted by end-of-life price readjustments, is a distant leader in 2009 Turkish car sales with close to 9% of the market and 32,968 sales. This is close to 9,000 sales more than the #2, the Renault Symbol at 6.5% share.

In 3rd, the Renault Megane Sedan saw its career end this year, replaced by the Renault Fluence launched in November 2009 and already #27 in the Full Year ranking with 3,639 sales and 1% share. The Toyota Corolla ranks 4th, ahead of the Hyundai Getz which completes a fantastic year for Hyundai. Notice the solid 15th place of the Mercedes C Class, in a ranking still dominated by sedans (8 in Top 10, 13 in Top 20).
