“Don’t try to understand, only God knows”, Bangui, Central African Republic

Very little material available to estimate car sales in Central African Republic, but enough to establish that the Toyota Hilux should be the best selling vehicle in the country, with the Toyota Hiace also popular.

90% of taxis are yellow 1985 and 1990 Nissan Sunny sedans and the Peugeot 406, Toyota Corolla and Land Cruiser are also fairly frequent in the streets of the capital Bangui.
