Italy November 2010: Panda #1

Hard times for the Italian car market, down 21% in November with 146,307 registrations. The Year-to-date figure is down 8% at 1,840,511.

The Fiat Panda is #1 in Italy for the first time since May with 10,736 sales and 7.3%, ahead of the Punto at 10,066 (6.9%). The Punto’s 1st place year-to-date is safe though at 7.9% market share vs. 7% for the Panda.

The Ford Fiesta, 3rd again, is still far below its YTD level (4.1% vs. 5%),and the Fiat 500 climbs back to 4th at 3.6%. Solid month for the Lancia Ypsilon (about to be renewed) in 5th at 2.5% (#9 YTD), and for the Nissan Qashqai at #10 (2%).

Excellent start for the Nissan Juke at #24 with 1,439 sales and 1%, the Ford C-Max is fully enjoying its renewal at #25 (+ 22 spots vs. October).
