The Burkinabe car market is relatively developed, at least in the capital Ouagadougou, with a respectable amount of new cars in the streets. The Toyota Hilux should lead the sales in Burkina Faso, other successful cars being the Suzuki Grand Vitara, Mitsubishi L200, Toyota Prado, Yaris Sedan and Corolla and Dacia Logan.
The French influence on the Burkinabe car market has all but disappeared: the last Gallic model to be truly popular was the Peugeot 307 hatchback, not sold anymore in the country. A lot of Mercedes seem to choose Burkina Faso to die: the streets of Ouagadougou are filled with them, along with old gen Toyota Avensis and VW Golf.
