Morocco 2009: Logan at 15%

The Moroccan car market is expanding slightly in 2009 with 93,761 registrations (+3%) and the Dacia Logan, built in the country, grabs 15.1% of the market with 14,200 units sold. The 2003 Renault Kangoo is 2nd with 11,543 sales (12.3%) and the Kia Picanto closes the podium in 3rd at 4.8% market share. Note the 5th place of the Dacia Sandero (4.1%) and the excellent 20th place of the VW Touareg (1.1%).

Morocco 2006-2008: Dacia Logan in command

Production of the Dacia Logan started in 2005 in Morocco, and its success in the country was immediate. It became the best-selling car in Morocco in 2006 with 12,735 sales (15.2% share) and stayed at this position in 2007 with 12,636 sales (12%) and 2008 with 13,446 sales over 11 months (14.4%). Morocco 2004-2005: Renault Kangoo leader, Logan gears up

In 2004, the Renault Kangoo is the best selling vehicle in Morocco with 3,500 sales, and keeps the lead in 2005 with 6,435 sales in a market up 17% at 63,655 units. The big 2005 event in Morocco is the start of Dacia Logan manufacture in the Casablanca factory. At the end of 2005, it had already sold 2,500 units in the country in its 5 first months of sale.
