YouTube videos of the streets of Libya’s capital, Tripoli, show that in all likeliness, three models should lead the best-selling cars ranking in the country this year: the Chevrolet Optra, old gen Mitsubishi Lancer and Toyota Hilux. It looks like this trio has been on top of the charts for a few years in Libya.
Other successful models include the Toyota Corolla, Nissan Tiida, Mitsubishi L200, and Hyundai Santa Fe, Sonata & Accent.

In a Romanian market up 19% at 256,364 registrations, the Dacia Logan delivers what would end up being its highest yearly volume in its native country at 96,037 sales, helped by the arrival of the MCV version in October. Its market share slips down slightly to 37.5%, still extremely impressive.
The Renault Clio takes the 2nd place with 13,249 sales and 5.2%, followed by the Skoda Octavia at 12,098 sales (4.7%) and the Daewoo Matiz & Cielo at estimated 4.3% and 3.9% shares respectively.

After 2 years of domination of the Dacia SupeRNova, the new Solenza, launched in 2003, takes the lead of the Romanian car market with 15,223 sales over the first 9 months of the year.
Climbing to #2, the Daewoo Matiz, produced in the country, sells 10,597 units, just ahead of the Dacia 1310 at #3 with 10,546 sales. Another locally produced Daewoo, the Cielo, is #4 ahead of the Renault Symbol.
