The recovery is here in Poland: car sales are up 25% in November at 33,911 units, bringing the 2010 total back into positive at 298,344 units, up 2%. The top of the ranking is unchanged, with the Skoda Octavia and Fabia still dominant.
This month’s surprises are just below: the Kia Sportage delivers an amazing 5th place (up 11 spots on October!) with 888 sales and 2.6%. Last month’s 8th place was not a fluke for the Citroen Berlingo, 7th in November at 844 sales and 2.5% and already 20th YTD (4,010 sales and +65%).

For its last month before the arrival of the FL restyled version, the Proton Saga reclaims the #1 spot with an impressive 13.6% market share. However it is still #2 year-to-date with 67,779 sales (12.8%) vs. 69,368 (13.1%) for the Perodua Myvi, #2 in November at 12.2%.
The Top 5 is 100% Malaysian again with the Perodua Viva, Proton Persona and Perodua Alza following. The Nissan Grand Livina is solid at #9 with 3.3%, the new Hyundai Sonata gains 9 spots at #24 and the Proton Inspira, a rebadged Mitsubishi Lancer, has its very first month of sales at #35 with 143 units, already ahead of the ‘original’ Mitsubishi (#46 with 89 sales).

The Turkish car market is euphoric this month at +182% year-on-year and 50,061 registrations, bringing the year-to-date figure to 410,323, up 31%.
The Renault Symbol, #1 in November at 5.8%, is now also the best selling car in Turkey year-to-date with 23,558 sales and 5.7%, passing the Hyundai Accent (23,174 and 5.6%).
Excellent performance of the Toyota Corolla, #2 in November at 5.3%: it climbs back to #4 year-to-date (4.3%). The Renault Fluence is back on the podium with 4.6% this month, very close to its 4.8% YTD share (#3 also). The new VW Jetta is up 4 spots in 7th, like the Mercedes C Class in 14th.

The Renault Megane is solid again in November in 3rd (4.7%) and gains one spot YTD in 4th. The Hyundai i20 now appears in the YTD ranking at #18.

Chinese workers bought 467,639 new Light Commercial Vehicles in November, up 21% year-on-year. The total over 11 months 2010 is 4,829,785 units, up 25% on 2009.
Big movement this month: the ChangAn Minibus takes the pole position with 54,795 sales, up an impressive 52% over Nov 09, ahead of the Wuling Sunshine at 46,682 sales (-33%) which however stays #1 YTD at 708,941 units sold (+12%). The ChangAn is #2 at 478,425 (+24%).
This is to be compared with the 37,616 VW Golf sold in 27 European countries in November (458,258 over 11 months) and the 38,541 Ford F Series sold in the USA (473,461 in 11 months).

At 11,198 registrations this month, the Vietnamese market is down 9% year-on-year and 4% year-to-date at 99,798 sales. The Toyota Innova regains its first spot with 811 sales (7.2%) followed by the Toyota Fortuner at an excellent 6.8% (732 sales).
#1 last month, the Kia K3000 delivers another strong month at #3 with 6.5% of the market and jumps to #3 YTD (5.3%). Solid performances also for the Toyota Corolla (#4 at 5.9%), Kia Morning (#5 at 5.1%), Daewoo Cruze (#7 at 3.2%) and Kia Forte (#12 at 2.1%).

The European market is down 7% in November at 1,094,293 registrations and down 5% over 11 months at 12,666,595 sales, with some signs of recovery as Germany slows its decline.
The Top 5 best selling models are unchanged vs. October, with the VW Golf still #1 by far, ahead of the VW Polo, #2 for the 5th time this year, and the Ford Fiesta, #3 but holding on to its #2 position year-to-date. Only 1,000 sales separate the #5 (Peugeot 207) from the #9 (Opel Astra)…
The Citroen C3 breaks into the Top 10 for the second time this year with 17,423 sales, but this figure includes both C3 and C3 Classic sales.
