Italy January 2011: Alfa Romeo Giulietta #6!

The Italian car market is off to a slow start this year with 165,302 registrations in January, down 21% on last year. The Fiat Punto stays strong at 13,173 sales and 8% share, but the Panda drops to 6.1%. The VW Golf has a good month in 4th place and 3.5%, ahead of the Fiat 500.

The performance of the month goes to the Alfa Romeo Giulietta, breaking into the Top 10 for the first time at a formidable 6th place with 4,053 sales and 2.5% of the market. Other strong performances include the Dacia Duster at #21 (+37 spots on December!), the Nissan Juke at #22 (+9 spots) and the Hyundai ix35 at #32 (+22 spots).

    The Alfa Giulietta has definitely done really well with position number 6. I have to say that this car is a real Italian beauty, it is like heaven in wheels. I would buy one within a heart beat if i had the money.
