Very healthy Taiwanese market in November at 32,738 registrations, the 2nd best figure this year. Talk about an uneventful month though: the November Top 12 is exactly the same as the YTD ranking!

While the Toyota Corolla stays #1 by far at 11.3%, the Nissan Tiida at #2 (4.9%) is the only non-Toyota model in the Top 5, it is followed by the Yaris, Camry and Wish. After an outstanding month in 5th in October, the Luxgen 7 SUV falls down to 13th at 2.4%.

Taiwan 2005-2009: Toyota Corolla Altis invincible

January 12, 2010 Leave a comment

Throughout the 5 years leading to 2010, the Toyota Corolla Altis has remained the best-selling car in Taiwan. The figures available for this period only take into account the models produced in the country, but imports are minimal in Taiwan anyway.

Below the Corolla, the Toyota Camry, Wish, Yaris and Vios also sell very well in the country, making the Top 4 an exclusive Toyota affair, except in 2007 when the Honda CR-V manages to grab an excellent 4th place with 17,643 sales.
